We hosted our 2nd Wedding Fair last weekend. It was such a lovely day AND the sun came out to play! Also involved in our intimate wedding fair was Carol Shaw of carolshawjewellery and Tina from Alexanders Bridal as well as our excellent photographer on the day Michelle O Sullivan of mosphotography We were also joined by Chaplins suit hire. All Hair and Makeup was carried out beautifully by Sheena and her team at a Indulge Hair and Beauty while thundersbakery provided delicious samples of wedding cakes for people to try. Finally and by no means least our model Olivia Roe did a stunning job as I’m sure you’ll agree.

We thoroughly enjoyed the day and we hope our brides did too. Watch out for another in Spring time!

Today we are showcasing the gorgeous wedding of Suzanne and Mark. We loved this one. We love them all! We particularly loved the colours and were involved with the whole day in the magnificent Heritage Golf and Spa in Killinard.

The church in Killinard has just been refurbished and is so elegant, is so complimentary to church designs. There’s a romantic double chair for the bride and groom during the ceremony!

We then scooted across the road to decorate the hotel before the reception. Many thanks to Suzanne and Mark for letting us be involved in their big day. We loved it and wish them every success in their future together.

A few weeks ago as part of a presentation to show case our talents at Dundrum Blooms we decided to play a generation game!

So we created a bouquet and a corsage in front of an audience.

Then 2 “willing” volunteers from the audience came up to recreate the 2 pieces. The resultant Bill & Ben show was hilarious! Firstly both Bill & Ben wanted to make the bouquet as they both realised their limitations when it came to intricate flower work involved with creating a corsage…..one being a builder and one being a gardener.

We eventually persuaded Bill (alias John Cullen of Cullen Construction) to create the corsage…..while Ben (alias Bloom award winning gardener Michael Corr of Garden Force Corr Designs) had his hands full of greenery.

"...she said put the lily in the middle"

“Cut the head off the rose” came the helpful chime of Barry (alias Barry) to which Bill replied, “I can’t make a f*****n corsage”!! Oh Bless he  did try but I was worried about the health of the rose!!!

So after a few short minutes and lots of audience participation and encouragement….”…heres one I prepared earlier….well … She prepared earlier!!!”

This week we are celebrating the wedding of Lynn and Eamonn in the lovely Holy Cross Church in Dundrum.

Lynns bouquet was a shower bouquet style with a selection of white and ivory flowers including, roses, agapanthus, freesia, veronica, calla lily, delphinium, asparagus and ruscus. Loads of texture going on and it suited Lynn really well. The bridesmaids bouquets were a modern style of upright callas surrounded by a base of rich hypericum berries and ivory roses. Lots of interest in them!

3 of Fionas 4 lovely bridesmaids practicing how to hold the bouquets for maximum impact. Gorgeous sunny morning at Fionas house with the sun streaming in the kitchen window.

Using some of the lace fabric from Fionas dress we wrapped stems of the delicate roses. Her grandads pioneer pin added a sentimental element to the bouquet as he could not be there.
