I’ve always loved that colour and wore it as my bridesmaids colour to my own sisters wedding years ago. The bridal bouquet used adventurous colours which totally paid off! The zesty green contrasting with the pinks was so fresh and I loved the blue Veronica sprinkled throughout. A real winner and the professional images and testimonial can be seen on our facebook page.

A friend of mine sent me on some of these amazing shots of the decoration of The Grand Hotel in Stockholm for a royal Wedding, that of HRH Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden and Mr Daniel Westling.
Nevado Roses, with large rose plantations in Ecuador, decorated the facade and the interior of the Grand Hotel in Stockholm, Sweden, with over six thousand ecological roses.
“We mounted an enormous heart on the facade of the Hotel in honor of the Royal wedding ”, says John Nevado, the President of the company.

The heart on the facade is made up of thousands of roses in red and pink and was seen from all angles including from across the water, where the Royal castle is located. It took three expert florists two full days to construct, and mount the rosy heart.

The heart was lifted into place on the facade at 06.00 AM on saturday the 19th June by a construction crane.
“It is wonderful to be able to contribute in this way to make Stockholm pretty for the royal wedding”, says Miriam Grundberg, the florist in charge of designing the heart.

The roses were grown on the Nevado Roses plantations in Ecuador, SouthAmerica, especially for the wedding celebrations. Nevado Roses planted these roses several months ago in order to harvest them in time for the wedding.
Many of the guests of honor of the Royal wedding stayed at the Grand Hotel – and Nevado Roses was present all over the hotel, with magnificent decorations in the lobby, restaurant and bar area and in the rooms of the dignitaries.
THE CROWN PRINCESS VICTORIA ROSE
The Lobby of the Grand Hotel was decorated with the exclusive “Crown Princess Victoria” rose,
named after the Crown Princess in 2006. The rose has been developed by the famous French rose breeders “Pepiniere Delbard” and took seven years to develop. The rose has been sold in Sweden under the name “Victoria” to benefit the Crown Princess Foundation. To date the sales and other activities have collected over half a million US Dollars.

My annual climb up Croagh Patrick (the Reek) is often rewarded with the most glorious views over Clew Bay. Breathtaking and stunning, you can see miles and miles of azure blue sea dotted frequently with little islands and land masses (which probably don’t even qualify as islands!). According to tradition, there is an island in the bay for every day of the year. The bay is overlooked by Croagh Patrick, Ireland’s holy mountain, and the mountains of North Mayo. Clare Island, sits as the dominant island and guards the entrance of the bay and, a little bit of history, was the home of Ireland’s notorious 16th century pirate queen Grainne Uaile (Grace O’Malley) from where she ruled the seas around Connaught. So the sweat and toil up the Reek fades to nothing when you see this view. Enjoy below!

Well you don’t ALWAYS get rewarded with the view, sometimes its just the sweat and toil!
